Pregnant Michelle McManus tests positive for Covid over Christmas holidays

Pregnant Michelle McManus revealed she has tested positive for Covid over the Christmas holidays.

The All This Time singer, 41, is currently pregnant with her second child and took to Instagram to share the unlucky news of her positive test.

"Not quite the Christmas present I was hoping for but thankfully me & bump are now feeling a bit better," she revealed.

"So very grateful that I had been double vaccinated. Thank you to our incredible @nhsggc & all those responsible for the brilliant vaccine roll out across Scotland #covid #covidpositive #pregnancy #vaccination."

Worried fans immediately rushed to the comment section to wish the singer a quick recovery.

"Oh no!! Glad you’re both well though. Take care xx," one user said.

Another concerned fan added: "So glad you are feeling better. Lots of love… and I’m also so thankful for the booster rollout. Incredible. xxxxx."

"So sorry Michelle, but glad you and bump are on the mend. Take care xxxxx," one worried fan posted.

A follower wrote: "Oh nooo!… Boooo!… hope you’re feeling ok? Get well soon xxx".

The Pop Idol star first revealed she is pregnant with her second child with Jeff Nimmo in November.

Michelle and Jeff already share a son together, Harry, who was born in February 2020.

The two tied the knot in 2017 in a stunning ceremony held in the Scottish Highlands.

She shared an adorable snap of Jeff holding Harry who was rubbing his eyes with exhaustion.

Michelle stood in front of the two smiling as she cradled her belly with one hand and touched her husband's arm with the other.

"Harry playing peekaboo with Mummy, Daddy and bump, Baby Nimmo no2 due early 2022," she captioned the post.

Followers and friends immediately took to the comment section to congratulate the family.

Back in 2003, Michelle beat Mark Rhodes to the top spot of Pop Idol after she sang All This Time in the final.

Michelle has remained in the entertainment industry since her victory all those years ago.

The star has also appeared on various TV and radio shows and often gives her fans updates about her private life on Instagram.

She had signed to Sony BMG record label after her Pop Idol victory, before releasing her debut single All This Time and debut album The Meaning of Love in 2004, which soared to number three in the charts.
