Pregnant Marnie Simpson rules out having any more kids - 'I've always wanted two'

Geordie Shore star Marnie Simpson has revealed her current pregnancy will be her last.

The reality TV babe recently shared her happy news that she was expecting a second child with her fiancé Casey Johnson, who she already shares two-year-old son Rox with.

But the reality star, who is 13 weeks pregnant and is having her first scan this week, explained to OK! she doesn’t “want too many” children.

Marnie said: “I’ve always wanted two, I just think it’s a nice number. I don’t want to have too many as I want to be able to give them everything I possibly can.

“I think it’s nice for Rox to have a sibling. I’ve told Casey how lonely it was being an only child. I hated it. He’s one of three and he’s told me all the memories he had growing up, and I want that for Rox.”

When quizzed on whether they are going to find out the gender of their baby, Marnie said: “We don’t know what to do. I think this is going to be my last pregnancy – I’m 99.9% sure – and I’m never going to get the chance of that surprise again. But I don’t know if Casey can wait!”

Former X Factor star Casey said he was simply too excited to wait.

The reality star said approaching 30 impacted on her decision to have two kids, while Casey joked that he doesn't want to have to change his car again.

Marnie previously revealed to new magazine that finding out she was pregnant came as “a shock” to her.

She said: “It was a bit of a shock, but we're just thrilled! We’re so excited and super happy.”

Casey, who rose to fame as part of X Factor boyband Stereo Kicks, added: “I’m really excited. Obviously you’re always going to be a little bit scared, too.”

Newcastle native Marnie has not had an easy time after giving birth to Rox as her bladder weakened and she suffered from chronic pain.

Things got so bad that she contemplated getting her bladder removed because she couldn’t bear the pain any longer.

In an eye-opening interview with Mail Online, the Geordie lass admitted: “I was suffering from really bad anxiety because of it. It was so hard being a mum throughout it because some days I couldn't even walk.

“It was depressing because I planned in my mind what I wanted the first year of Rox's life to be like, I wanted to go places and do things, not only has there been corona but I was also bed-bound. It was horrible.”
