Pregnant reality star Marnie Simpson has opened up about the debilitating morning sickness she is suffering during her second countdown to becoming a mother.
The 29-year-old Geordie Shore star is expecting baby number two with 26-year-old fiancé Casey Johnson – who found fame on The X Factor back in 2014.
The couple welcomed a son named Rox in October 2019 – and Marnie says she has been left shocked by the sickness she is experiencing while carrying baby number two.
The star says she had an easier pregnancy first time around and going through morning sickness this time has left her feeling like a zombie.
She told new! magazine: “I’ve been sick out of the car window three or four times. This time I genuinely feel like the walking dead.
“I can't even explain how horrendous it's been. I feel sick all day every day.
“With Rox I felt so healthy and glowing and I was a ray of sunshine, I was never going to be that lucky again.”
She added: “I'm older and my body has never been the same since having Rox so I think it was always going to happen.”
The reality star – who shot to fame as a cast member of shocking MTV series Geordie Shore in 2013 – found herself suffering from morning sickness symptoms while filming a TV show in September.
Doctors noted her blood pressure was low while she was completing a bungee jump for the show.
Marnie says she and Casey are not planning to learn the gender of their second child until the baby is born as she feels this will most likely be her last pregnancy and her final chance to be “surprised” in the delivery room.
But she does confess she would like to welcome a daughter that she can dress in pink outfits – but ultimately just wants a baby who is happy and healthy irrespective of gender.
Marnie announced her pregnancy on Monday, saying in a magazine interview: "We’re so excited and super happy. It was a bit of a shock but we’re just so thrilled!"
While Casey added: "I’m really excited. Obviously you’re always going to be a little bit scared, too."
While she then added to OK the following day: “I’ve always wanted two, I just think it’s a nice number. I don’t want to have too many as I want to be able to give them everything I possibly can.
“I think it’s nice for Rox to have a sibling. I’ve told Casey how lonely it was being an only child. I hated it. He’s one of three and he’s told me all the memories he had growing up, and I want that for Rox.”
While on Instagram Stories on Tuesday, she shared photos of her sonogram and in a Q&A revealed she is 13 weeks along and planning to organise a baby shower party in the coming months.
