Pregnant Lucy Mecklenburgh shares first scan photo as fans say baby 'looks like son Roman'

Lucy Mecklenburgh has shared a sweet ultrasound picture to Instagram this morning after starting the year with a 9am scan appointment.

The former TOWIE star shared a snap of her holding her ultrasound in her car, with the steering wheel being visible behind the freshly printed picture, with her 1.7million followers.

The star, 30, captioned the sweet post: "Best first photo of 2022 [heart emoji] [face covered in hearts emoji]

"I’m not going to lie I wasn’t overjoyed with getting a scan app for Jan 1st 9am [grinning face with sweat emoji] but let’s face it with a toddler I’d be up anyway and I wasn’t going to be hungover.

Her partner Ryan Thomas, 37, quickly commented on the picture with just a single word: "Special [heart emoji] [prayer hands emoji]".

The ultrasound shows the unborn baby's profile, with fans already insisting that the new baby looks just like older brother Roman.

One fan wrote: "Looks like Roman already."

A second penned: "Oh wow, you can see the resemblance to Roman [heart emoji]"

"The baby looks like Roman [heart eyes emoji]", said a third.

While a fourth said: "[Definitely] got the cute Thomas nose again [heart eyes emoji]".

Lucy recently made headlines when her dreams of turning her Essex bungalow into the £1.5million home she's long dreamed of were slashed as she lost her battle with neighbours.

She was hoping to transform their bungalow into something more spacious to fit her family, but unfortunately the plans were not approved.

Lucy had hoped to build a roof extension with roof lights and a first floor extension to the front of the home, in addition to a new front porch that would completely makeover the bungalow she calls home.

But unfortunately a number of her neighbours objected to the latest proposals.

She also wanted to add two more bedrooms to the property, one with a built in wardrobe and a bigger en-suite.

She had previously been told she could go through with the loft conversion and extensions to the front and rear of the house.

She bought the two-bedroom home in February 2015 for £525,000 but the value of the Essex property is now reported to be worth £738,000, according to property website Rightmove.

Unfortunately the pregnant star's dreams of further expansion have been rejected and she is unable to extend further, according to Mail Online.

With the ongoing building to the property, neighbours have objected with one of them writing to the local council to voice their complaints.

"I am totally opposed to this planning application. When I moved in seven years ago, it was a cul-de-sac of bungalows," the Brentwood resident wrote.

"I have been living next to a building site for six-and-a-half years and the house next door is still boarded up and not finished.

"We have had builders merchants' lorries, skip lorries, concrete mixer lorries and many more. As a result, the road is now full of potholes. There appears to have been no council oversight of the works to ensure completion in an acceptable timeframe to help minimise the impact to both the road and the community within it.

"If this application is granted, we will once again suffer the inconvenience of more lorries coming up and down the road."
