Pregnant Lauren Goodger in worrying hospital dash after not feeling baby move

Lauren Goodger was forced to rush to hospital last week when she stopped feeling her unborn baby move.

The pregnant ex-TOWIE star, who is expecting her first child with boyfriend Charles Drury in the summer, got specialist advice after her little girl stopped moving.

"Sadly, I ended up in hospital last week. I didn't feel the baby move and I didn't feel myself, so I was advised to go and have a check-up," she wrote in her OK! VIP column.

Midwives checked her out, but luckily the baby is in full health.

"As a new mum you worry, but the baby is all fine and perfect," Lauren went on.

"As you know I've always been honest about how I'm feeling and I will be able to talk about it in more detail next week when I'm fully over this episode."

The good news is Lauren will be meeting her little one very soon by way of a 4D scan.

"The company contacted me about it and I thought, 'Yeah, how amazing'," she went on.

"I like having scans done. As much as they are nerve-wracking it’s a reassurance thing - I’d have them every day if I could! I’ve got my midwife appointment next week so they will check me over and we’ll have a chat. It’s becoming very real now."

Lauren's surprise pregnancy has even helped patched things up with her family, after a far-reaching rift.

She was left in tears in December when her dad ignored her messages, and in January spoke about how their relationship had "fizzled out".

"I haven’t told him [about the baby] – so he’s going to find out here, like everyone else. That was a conscious decision because I’m not making any more effort as the family has not made an effort with me,” she explained.

“I would like nothing more than my family to be a part of my child’s life. He’s the grandad of my baby, and I want him to be there, but I just want to be strong with it and think ‘No, this is about me and my child now’."

But it seems her dad has reached out with a new granddaughter on the way to make amends, and even invited Lauren over to celebrate his 30th wedding anniversary with her stepmum.

"My step-mum cooked and we had lovely brownies, so it was really nice. She actually said to me if I get another anxiety episode I can ring her and she would take me to hospital," she wrote in her column.

"It’s really nice to have that support and know that they’re there for me. It’s nice we’ve become close again and actually it’s never been like this. It’s because of the baby - my dad’s first grandchild.

"Other family members on my dad's side have contacted me, which has been great and when we’re out of lockdown we can all meet up," she added.
