Pregnant Joss Stone has revealed she is expecting “Irish twins” as she nears her due date in June.
The Grammy winner, 38, adopted a baby boy called Bear with her husband Cody DaLuz in late November.
The Super Duper Love hitmaker announced just weeks later that she was pregnant, admitting that “shocked was an understatement”.
The Devon-born singer already shares daughter Violet, three, and son Shackleton, two, with DaLuz - who was himself adopted as a child.
Stone has now given fans an update on her pregnancy, revealing Bear and her unborn child will be “Irish twins” as they will be “the same age for four months”.
The term “Irish twins” is sometimes used to describe two children who were born within a year of each other.
Sharing a video of herself cradling Bear on Instagram, Stone explained in the text: “Soon this little love is going to become a twin.
“They will be the same age for four months. What a beautiful happening. Baby comes on the 14th of June now.
“So excited. And a little scared. I just can’t wait to get all of my babies safe in my arms finally.”
She added in the caption: “Happy #mummymondays. Hope you have all had a great start to the week. Baby is coming in 26 days!!!!
“Eeek. So excited. Irish twins incoming. Slightly nervous about the way babe is turning up but I’ve done it before I’ll do it again. I’m just suuuuuper ready now. #love #expandingfamily.”
In December, Stone announced that she and DaLuz had adopted Bear, writing on Instagram: “We can not quite believe it. We are in love big time with this little guy.
“The reason why Cody even exists is because his bio mum loved him enough to make an adoption plan for him and the same goes for Bear.”
She concluded: “Honestly bio mothers do not get the gratitude they deserve. It is a more selfless love than I knew existed. Truly. We are just so happy to be part of this beautiful cycle.”
Just weeks later, she shared the surprise news that she was pregnant.
In an Instagram post titled “the one where mummy finds out”, Stone shared photos of herself looking stunned while holding a positive pregnancy test.
“Honestly. Shocked was an understatement. Nothing and no one can take our joy now. We are so chuffed,” she penned.
The Right To Be Wrong singer joked that she should rename her Less Is More tour to “The Preggo Tour”.
The singer-songwriter experienced a difficult birth with her second child during which her uterus split.
At the time, Stone said doctors told her she can have another child but that she would be unable to give birth naturally.
Stone has previously spoken about experiencing a miscarriage in October 2021.
