Pregnant Janette Manrara sends 'be kind' message after she's told 'don't let people scare you'

Janette Manrara shared a 'be kind' message on social media after one of her latest posts was flooded with comments. The former Strictly Come Dancing star is weeks away from welcoming her first child with her fellow ex-Strictly star husband Aljaž Škorjanec.

The professional dancers announced the joyous news they were expecting back in February with their bundle of joy due this summer. Aljaz and Janette, who has since gone on to host the spin-off of the BBC One show, were just about to start IVF treatment when they found out Janette was pregnant.

Janette has since been keeping her fans and followers updated on her pregnancy journey and earlier this month, the loved-up pair enjoyed an "absolutely magical" baby moon in Slovenia, which they filmed parts of for ITV's Lorraine, and where Aljaz was able to surprise his mum for her birthday.

Over the weekend, Janette shared a video of herself fresh out the shower with wet hair and her blossoming bump wrapped in a towel as she spoke about making the most of some 'me time'. "So when I said I’m trying to enjoy my mornings of #MeTime… I really meant it!" she started the caption of her post.

"At the moment this whole routine takes me about 20min (on the days like today when I wash my hair). Need to bring it down to about 5min max for when the baby comes… but we’ll cross that bridge when we get there. I need to have time to shower to begin with!

"In the mean time, I’ll enjoy my quiet mornings, birds chirping, and calm; that’s why I didn’t add sound to this one. Just enjoying the peace and a little ASMR."

She added: "I’ve tagged all the products I’m currently using below. I love switching them around, but regardless these are always my 'go to' in one way or another. Oooo… also, started using @mamamioskincare and I love their products! This is a new one on my current list of faves."

Some of Janttes followers were quick to respond, suggesting she won't have much time on her hands once her baby arrives. @ladysusu2807 said: "5 minutes max, that made me chuckle, aiming a bit high there, if my babies were anything to go by." @lorene_roche24 wrote: "Enjoy me time as much as you can. Once your beautiful little bundle arrives. It's all go 24 7. So relax as much as you can."

But @emmachappy was among those wanting to put Janette at ease, writing: "Don’t let people scare you by saying you’ll have no time for yourself, I think it’s so awful when people do. In the initial 6 weeks don’t think about housework, or cooking or anything other than yourself and baby resting."

They continued: "Having a good firm routine is key to having time to yourself, people don’t tell you that, and when your baby is napping then that is your time for you, to sleep, to shower, to have a bit of self care time. The best gift you can give to the both of you is a cleaner once a week for 2 hours over the first 12 weeks and batch cook loads of meals before your baby arrives ☺️ you’ll both be brilliant parents xx."

After a weekend which included being reunited with Aljaz's former dance partner, and Dragons' Den star, Sara Davies and her family, Janette returned to Instagram and kicked off the week with a quote which isn't out of the ordinary for the mum-to-be. It said: "Be kind. Everyone is healing from things they don't speak about."
