Pregnant Gemma Atkinson transported back to her maternity leave as she enjoys sweet day out with Gorka Marquez and their daughter

Gemma Atkinson says she was transported back to her first-ever maternity leave as she enjoyed a sweet trip out with her fiance Gorka Marquez and their daughter. The Hits Radio host, Strictly Come Dancing star were joined by three-year-old Mia as they took her to the theatre.

The trio, who are set to become a family of four this summer as Gemma is currently pregnant with her and Gorka's second child, headed out to The Lowry in Salford on Saturday (March 25) to watch the Olivier Award-nominated production Hey Duggee The Live Theatre Show.

They were joined by former Coronation Street actress Brooke Vincent and her partner Kean Bryan, and fellow ITV soap stars Julia Goulding and Alex Bain, who all took their children to see the new musical play, which brings to life the smash hit CBeebies series through extraordinary puppetry and storytelling. which is selling out theatres as part of a huge nationwide tour.

Ahead of seeing the show, Gemma, 38, posed with Gorka and Mia. The former Hollyoaks and Emmerdale actress cut a causal figure in a white sweatshirt, branded with 'ILYSM' from her In The Style range, which she paired with black trousers and white trainers. Gorka, 32, matched his partner's attire, except he sported a brown sweatshirt and lighter coloured trousers.

The loved-up couple, who met on Strictly in 2017 when Gemma was a contestant and made it to the final with Aljaž Skorjanec, beamed alongside their excited little girl who looked adorable in a peachy-toned dress as she posed between her parents with a show programme.

Taking to her Instagram Story at the end of the show, Gemma filmed a snippet of Duggee and co on stage as she fondly recalled: "Took me back to my maternity leave with Mia," before adding: "Fabulous show! Hey Duggee @the_lowry."

On Friday (March 24), Gemma was hailed a 'superwoman' as she shared her latest look at her gym workout while also sharing her pregnancy struggles. The TV and radio star is no stranger to sharing her various training sessions as she heads to the gym in her Greater Manchester home.

And Gemma has previously been branded an 'inspiration' for sharing a look inside her exercise regime while expecting her second child. The Bury-born star and Spanish dancer Gorka announced back in January that they were expanding their brood after welcoming daughter Mia, who turns four in July, in 2019.

Gemma and Gorka, who are now preparing for their little baby's arrival, also confirmed they are expecting a boy. They shared the news alongside a string of black and white images which Gemma and dancer Gorka both posted to their Instagram pages after the mum-to-be said it was "impossible" to hide her growing bump any longer.

Returning to Instagram before the weekend with another fitness clip, the mum-of-two-to-be could be seen working up a sweat with a variety of weight exercises and stretching moves. Opening up alongside the video, set to Whitney Houston track Step by Step, Gemma wrote: "Taking it slow, day by day."

She went on to share: "I'm carrying a lot bigger this time. I feel like I’m pregnant from the neck down [crying laughing emoji] so I’m finding things harder at the minute. Things like putting shoes on, picking up dog poo, sitting comfy. I find (for me) doing small workouts and movements daily is helping with the aches I get being sedentary."

SAS: Who Dares Wins star Jason 'Foxy' Fox, who recently joined Gemma on a fitness retreat in Scotland, simply replied to the post: "Machine!" While former Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison wrote: "Get it queen," before fans quickly shared their own comments with one saying: "You’re superwomen."
