EastEnders star Louisa Lytton steps out with baby bump month after sharing baby joy

Pregnant Louisa Lytton cut a laid-back, chic figure as she stepped out after opening up about her first trimester.

The 32-year-old actress, who plays Ruby Allen in EastEnders, wore a black skirt and ribbed cream T-shirt over her bump.

She revealed she and fiancé Ben Bhanvra were expecting last month in an open letter to her own mum for Mother's Day.

Fans and Albert Square co-stars rushed to offer congratulations on what will be the couple's first child.

"Dear Mum, If I am a fraction of the mother you are, I know I'll be the best," an overjoyed Louisa wrote.

"You have held my hand for 32 years, you have taught me right from wrong, corrected my spelling, and helped me see the light at the end of every single tunnel.

"And now you will guide me to becoming a mummy. (Just try not to move yourself in or Ben might leave)."

She also took to Instagram with a very honest assessment of her early pregnancy, during which she'd "never felt hunger like it."

"The only thing that would subside the sickness was salt and ketchup," Louisa explained.

"Now I know I'm lucky I could stomach food, I know some people simply can't? I felt such guilt, how could I give this baby such a terrible start?

"I'm out the other side now, and I wish I just relaxed a bit more and didn't cry into every portion of chips. I've had a lot of people ask about my experience of the first few months, all I can think of is the UberEats man at the door."

Louisa reached out to other mums-to-be, and thanked fans for their kind words and messages of support.

Meanwhile, Louisa and Ben - who she got engaged to in 2019 - have cancelled their wedding.

They'd originally hoped to tie the knot once Covid restrictions eased, but now they've a baby on the way, the couple's focus has shifted.

She told the Loose Women panel last month: "We have cancelled it. I said let's stop trying and now officially it could go ahead but it's too late now, it's all gone out of the window!"
