The owner of a pregnant dog is desperate to get her back after she was stolen from their home.
Danny Ryan from Co Down, says Violet, an American Pocket Bulldog was lifted from the family's garden in the Milvale area of Bessbrook some time between 8.15pm and 8.45pm on Tuesday.
A reward of £1,000 has been offered for her safe return.
And the matter is becoming increasingly urgent because family's vet says Violet will need to undergo a Caesarean section to have her puppies, the dog's life could be in danger if she is allowed to give birth naturally.
Danny said: "We are desperate to get Violet home. She's heavily pregnant and in need of specialist veterinary care.
"We believe she has been taken and the family is distraught.
"She is a young child’s pet and a beloved family companion. She is heavily pregnant she needs urgent care.
"We are hoping the readers of Belfast Live will help us make Violet and her puppies too hot to handle and that she will be given back to us.
"She is a family pet and we really need to get her home. She is due to have her puppies on Sunday and we're very worried if someone has her she'll not get the right treatment and that could prove very dangerous her Violet and her pups.
"Very few people knew she was expecting and we haven't them for sale but we think whoever took her spotted how pregnant she was and maybe wants to make money out of her.
