Michigan State will get some reinforcements for today’s game against Penn State (3:30 ABC).
After a prolonged absence left tackle AJ Arcuri is back for the Spartans. Arcuri is currently listed as the backup at left tackle behind Tyler Higby, but earlier in the season Arcuri was slated to start there before picking up his injury. Also at left tackle, presumptive preseason starter Cole Chewins remains out with a back injury that has caused him to miss the first two months of the season.
Also on the offensive line, reserve center/guard Blake Bueter returns from an injury.
Elsewhere, Jalen Nailor remains out at wide receiver, but MSU’s pass catching will get a boost with the return of tight end Trenton Gillison. Gillison missed the Wisconsin game due to an injury.
Cornerback Shakur Brown is also dress for the Spartans today. Brown had missed more than a month with an undisclosed injury. Brown enjoyed a nice start to the season as a third-down specialist prior to going out.
