The Los Angeles Chargers are set to face off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, Oct. 4 at 10:00 a.m. PT at Raymond James Stadium.
The Chargers are hoping to bounce back after dropping two consecutive games, both of which came down to the final play. For the Buccaneers, they are looking to extend their winning streak to three games.
Rookie quarterback Justin Herbert will look to pick up his first professional victory. Tampa Bay will present Herbert’s toughest challenge yet, as the team boasts one of the league’s top defenses.
Los Angeles’ defense has been doing a great job of limiting touchdowns, but it won’t help if the offense isn’t scoring points and they continue to make mistakes, putting them an unideal field position to defend quarterback Tom Brady and company.
I expect both defenses to perform well and Herbert to have an up and down performance due to the missing pieces along the offensive line. But in the end, the Buccaneers will squeak one out in a close battle, beating the Bolts by the score of 24-20.
