Prediction made in Championship race with Leeds United set for title in good news for Nottingham Forest but not Bristol City

Bristol City's loss to Millwall has damaged their play-off hopes.

That is according to Five Thirty Eight , which has created a data model to predict the outcome of the Championship.

The Robins went down 2-1 to Millwall last night and are now tipped to finish behind Sheffield Wednesday on goal difference in the race for sixth place.

City are predicted to finish on 70 points, the same as Sheffield Wednesday, and the chances of them making the play-offs has dipped to 33 per cent, one less than Wednesday.

Leeds United are tipped to storm to the title, with a 59 per cent chance of winning the Championship and a massive 88 per cent chance of getting promoted.

West Brom are predicted to finish in second, 14 points clear of third-placed Fulham.

The Baggies have a 72 per cent chance of getting promoted, in comparison to Fulham's 25 per cent likelihood.

Brentford and Nottingham Forest round out the play-off places.

At the other end of the table, Barnsley, Wigan Athletic and Luton Town are all predicted to be relegated.
