Celtic head to Budapest this week knowing that that a first Europa League win is within their grasp.
The Hoops dominated the Hungarian champions at Celtic Park last month, registering their first points in Group G in the process and giving themselves half a chance of what would still be an unlikely qualification into the knockout stages.
At least one of Leverkusen and Betis, who sit on top of the group, will drop points this week so if Ange Postecoglou's side can take maximum points they will close the gap significantly on the top two sides.
Despite having 85% possession, Celtic were frustrated by Livingston at the weekend but a five-game winning streak since the Leverkusen debacle has been a really good response and there is no doubt that Celtic head to Hungary in good enough form to get the job done.
This is the first time that Ferencváros have hosted a Scottish club since they beat Rangers 2-1 (but lost the tie 4-5 on aggregate) in the 1960/61 European Cup Winners' Cup first round.
Celtic's record in Hungary is W2 L4, though their only visit this century brought a 4-0 win at MTK Budapest in the third qualifying round of the 2003/04 UEFA Champions League – a tie they won 5-0 on aggregate.
Ferencváros are one of only two teams in this season's UEFA Europa League yet to register a point going into Matchday 4, the other Sturm Graz in Group B. They have also failed to win any of their last three home games and although they head into this game on the back of a league win, their form is decidedly mixed.
Prediction for Ferencvaros vs Celtic
It's no surprise that Celtic are firm favourites (23/20) to repeat last month's victory having racked up 18 efforts on goal in Glasgow but there were indications that night that Ferencvaros could cause the Hoops problems in the home fixture.
Peter Stoger's side racked up 12 efforts on goal in the 3-1 home defeat to Betis and they average over two goals a game at the Groupama Arena in domestic competition so it wouldn't be a great surprise if the hosts found a way through the Celtic defence that is conceding a goal a game away from home in the Scottish Premiership.
With that in mind, let's back Celtic in a double with both teams to score (yes), which is a very appealing 3/1 chance with Grosvenor Sport.
