With one game week left and four clubs battling it out for survival, it is all to play for in the Championship relegation battle.
Whilst the top of the Championship table has neatly sorted itself out this season, with the Champions confirmed in Norwich and all play-off positions sorted, all the action is unfolding amongst the bottom four teams.
Derby County, Sheffield Wednesday, Rotherham and Wycombe Wanderers face a final tense week which will send three of them down into League One.
It is all to play for on the final day of the season.
So, how can each team be victorious in retaining their Championship spot?
Derby County, currently in 21st, have one final game left against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday. As Rotherham drew their game in hand on Tuesday night, Wayne Rooney’s side just need a win against Wednesday to guarantee their survival.
For Rotherham, a win alone is not enough to secure their stay. If they win against Cardiff, they have to hope Derby get beat by Sheffield Wednesday to stay out of a drop to League One.
Sheffield Wednesday have the opposite hopes to Rotherham. They need a Cardiff victory over the Millers and a win against Derby to avoid relegation.
In miracles can happen territory, we have Wycombe Wanderers. Wanderers have the small task of beating Middlesbrough 13-0 to have any hope of survival. Not only that, they need Wednesday to win 1-0 against Derby as well.
With the Rams in a run of poor form and final day drama set to unfold, it could be anyone’s day this weekend.
