Predicted Rangers XI to face Napoli as Gio vows to roll the dice and could sacrifice some after Livingston shocker

Gio van Bronckhorst says Rangers will "see some changes" against Napoli on Wednesday night as he looks to shake things up after disappointment against Livingston at the weekend.

The Ibrox side stuttered against the Lions at home and fell to a costly 1-1 draw that left them trailing Celtic by four points in the title race. Europe offers them no reprieve either; they travel to Naples to face the Serie A leaders who have a 100 per cent record in this season's Champions League and don't look in any mood to slow down despite securing passage to the knockout phase with two games to spare.

Rangers need something from the game to stand any chance of earning a Europa League fall-back. And despite their dreadful start, should they better Ajax's result against Liverpool, they will take their fate back into their own hands and set up a blockbuster shootout with the Amsterdam team in Glasgow next week.

To that end, Van Bronckhorst has promised to ring in the changes as he looks to earn something in Naples. Rabbi Matondo could come back in after recovering from a back injury but Glen Kamara has lost his fitness race - meaning one of Scott Arfield or Steven Davis are likely to join John Lundstram in the engine room.

Further up there's a choice between Antonio Colak or Alfredo Morelos up top while James Sands and Leon King - who has recovered from the illness that forced him off against Livingston - will compete to partner Ben Davies in the absence of Connor Goldson and John Souttar. Decisions, decisions!

Van Bronckhorst said before the game: "First of all, Glen didn't make it. He was working hard to be ready but this game comes too early. He will hopefully be ready for the weekend. We have some players who are not eligible for Europe so we didn't take them.

"We have Rabbi Matondo fit. He went off at the weekend but he's trained and is fit to travel which is good news. You have to look at the team and ask which is best for tomorrow.

"Leon King is better. He was feeling sick on Saturday at half-time and had to come off.

"We have a very demanding schedule and we have to rotate the squad because we need everyone fresh and that's a balance you need to find. Tomorrow you will see some changes."
