Predicted Leeds United line-up for West Ham with major injury boost expected

Leif Davis has not contributed a massive amount to Leeds United’s Premier League campaign, but his most telling input came off the field this weekend.

On Saturday, using his TikTok account, he published a video from what looks like one of Marcelo Bielsa’s famed murderball sessions, which he says was recorded on Friday.

While the former Morecambe youth was highlighting his own interception and goal it was the sight of one Kalvin Phillips which has set tongues wagging since.

Phillips, missing since the Crystal Palace win last month, was thought to be out of contention for Monday night because he missed out on the chance to bank match time with the under-23s on Friday.

How should Leeds approach this game against West Ham?

It seems he was one step further on than that and getting critical time with what looks like Monday night’s starters.

If Phillips pulls through this weekend without any problems he presents a massive boost for the Whites and Bielsa in what should be the only change.

Pascal Struijk, himself an injury doubt based on Mateusz Klich’s post-match comments last weekend, would drop out in a straight swap.

Tyler Roberts and Helder Costa were also in the same colour bibs as Phillips through the video and, as a result, look set to retain their places too.

Predicted line-up: Meslier; Ayling, Llorente, Cooper, Dallas; Phillips; Costa, Klich, Roberts, Raphinha; Bamford.
