Predicted Chelsea lineup vs Man City as Chukwuemeka and Kepa in contention, Koulibaly blow

Chelsea face Manchester City on Sunday afternoon looking to avoid a sixth straight defeat against Pep Guardiola's men. Frank Lampard will be hoping to record another positive result however, having earned a point at the Etihad Stadium with Everton this season.

The Blues boss is still without Mason Mount, Reece James, Ben Chilwell, N'Golo Kante and Marc Cucurella, while Kalidou Koulibaly has returned to training. The Senegal international is likely unavailable for the match against the Citizens where the west London side will also have to do without Benoit Badiashile, who picked up a groin injury in training.

Lampard will have a decision to make in goal after the former midfielder decided to start Edouard Mendy against Nottingham Forest, with the goalkeeper's error leaving a degree of pressure on whether he will retain his spot. Kepa Arrizabalaga will be hoping he is trusted once again with just three games remaining in the season

The 44-year-old coach will have a difficult choice over whether he makes use of a back three or back four and could maintain a fluid shape. Trevoh Chalobah, Wesley Fofana, Thiago Silva and Lewis Hall will be favourites to start at the back and could count on the versatility of Ruben Loftus-Cheek to help down the right flank from a role in midfield, with doubts over Mateo Kovacic, having not featured in the club's released training photographs since getting injured a week ago.

Enzo Fernandez will continue his impressive rate of starts while Conor Gallagher will bring plenty of energy and Carney Chukwuemeka will hope for an opportunity having been prevented from joining up with England under-20s until the Premier League campaign is over.

Chelsea predicted XI vs Man City: Mendy; Chalobah, Fofana, Silva, Hall; Loftus-Cheek, Enzo Fernandez, Gallagher, Chukwuemeka, Sterling, Havertz.
