Predicted Celtic team as Christopher Jullien is ready and Giorgos Giakoumakis gets his big chance

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou must strike a balance between squad rotation and getting the job done against League One Alloa on Saturday evening.

The Hoops manager has one cup in the bag after bringing home the Premier Sports Cup from Hampden last month.

Now he's on the hunt for another piece of silverware in the Scottish Cup - and he can count on Christopher Jullien after more than a year out injured.

Postecoglou confirmed he's in contention against the Wasps, likely in front of keeper Joe Hart and beside standout defender Cameron Carter-Vickers.

Anthony Ralston should reclaim his right-back berth with Josip Juranovic rested while Greg Taylor may keep his place at left-back, though Liam Scales could have a case.

Yosuke Ideguchi looks a good bet for his first Celtic start in the holding role, joined by captain Callum McGregor.

For the final midfield place Reo Hatate should build on his magnificent debut. Clearance hasn't arrived yet for new Bhoy Matt O'Riley, with Tom Rogic ready to join up with Australia and David Turnbull still injured.

An early morning bombshell from the other side of the globe may have changed Postecoglou's thinking in the front end of the park.

With Daizen Maeda called up by Japan he'll be due to fly out for Thursday morning's qualifier against China very soon.

That makes him a doubt to be involved in Clackmannanshire and with countryman Kyogo Furuhashi injured the onus is on Greek striker Giorgos Giakoumakis to bring the threat.

He's not managed to get going so far in green and white since joining from VVV-Venlo but tonight could give him a confidence boost ahead of three crucial league fixtures, while he'll be flanked by Liel Abada and potentially Mikey Johnston.

Jota is an option on the left and may feature but he only made an eight-minute cameo against Hibs on Monday to mark his return and throwing him in from the start on an artificial surface may raise eyebrows.

Predicted Celtic starting XI

Hart; Ralston, Carter-vickers, Jullien, Taylor; Ideguchi, McGregor, O'Riley; Abada, Giakoumakis, Johnston
