Predict Premier League results and share your Manchester United top-four verdict

Manchester United have some ground to make up despite seeing Premier League results go their way on Sunday afternoon - including another defeat for Tottenham.

Having been pegged back against Burnley in midweek, the Old Trafford giants were first up to the plate as interim manager Ralf Rangnick and his team played Southampton this Saturday lunchtime.

But supporters ended 90 frustrating minutes with a familiar sense of deja vu.

Jadon Sancho put United into the lead and the England forward continues to grow in confidence after his testing start to life in the Premier League - but the £72.9million signing from Borussia Dortmund proved to be a rare bright spark against the Saints.

Southampton frontman Che Adams responded and United missed out on two more points as a result.

Arsenal were, meanwhile, able to put their feet up as London rivals Tottenham and West Ham were defeated by Wolves and Leicester City respectively on Sunday afternoon. Mikel Arteta and the Gunners are now in the driving seat for Champions League qualification.

Victory in their games in hand would move them at least five points clear of the other contenders.

As the season continues to head towards the business end, United resume their charge with a re-arranged fixture against Brighton at Old Trafford on Tuesday night (8.15pm). Games against Leeds United (February 20) and Watford (February 26) follow before the month ends.
