Newcastle United's nine game unbeaten run came to an end against Chelsea at the weekend, but Eddie Howe's side have given themselves a real fighting chance of Premier League survival. The Magpies are nine points clear of the bottom three and know a trip to Goodison Park will present another opportunity to distance themselves from the drop.
The Toon have been one of the in form sides in the Premier League, with Liverpool now the only unbeaten side in the division since the turn of the year. It's been a remarkable turn around from Howe's side who have gone from almost certain relegation candidates, to survival favourites.
Injuries to Kieran Trippier, Callum Wilson and Allan Saint-Maximin has made that feat even more impressive. While their unbeaten streak may have come to a close, Newcastle will have taken great confidence from their outing at Stamford Bridge last weekend ahead of facing an Everton side void of confidence.

Newcastle face a tough test against Tottenham Hotspur and Wolves after their trip to Goodison Park and know they're far from safe. A win for the Toffees and, if results elsewhere were to go against the Magpies, Howe's side could see their safety blanket cut to six points.
