Predator follows woman from shop and sexually assaults her in car

A woman was sexually assaulted in the driving seat of her car by a man who followed her out of a shop.

The sickening sex attack happened in Breck Road.

Police said the incident occurred moments after the culprit had directed what police termed "inappropriate comments" at his victim in a nearby store just before midday.

After the victim got into her car, police said the man "reached into the vehicle and sexually assaulted her".

The woman managed to drive off and bravely reported the vile incident to police.

Today police issued CCTV stills of a man detectives believe may have information into the horrific Anfield attack which happened around 11.40am on Friday, November 20.

A Merseyside Police spokesman said: "A man had made inappropriate comments towards the victim in a shop on the road before she left the store.

"The woman got into the driver’s seat of her car, at which point the man reached into the vehicle and sexually assaulted her."

He added: "She then drove away and reported the incident to police. The woman was left distressed by the ordeal and continue to receive the support of specialist officers."
