A sex predator who targeted four women in the early hours is behind bars.
Parvinder Singh raped one victim and sexually assaulted three others over the course of a month in Glasgow’s west end.
The 36-year-old told jurors how he had been roaming the streets hoping to “make friends”.
The Indian-born chef was eventually snared at his home in Partick.
Singh – who was in Scotland illegally – was convicted of the attacks following a trial at the High Court in Glasgow.
The crimes occurred between September 15 and October 31, 2019.
Prosecutor Shanti Maguire put to him: “Can you explain why these four episodes all happened at this time in the morning?”
Singh, giving evidence via an interpreter, said: “I was there to make friends and take them back to my house.”
Miss Maguire asked: “You wanted to meet someone in the street and take them back to have sex with them?” Singh replied: “Yes.”
Singh was found guilty of rape and three charges of sexual assault. He was remanded in custody and sentencing was deferred until next month.
He was also placed on the sex offenders’ register.
