Precious war medals stolen after callous burglars raid 'vulnerable' pensioner's home

A "vulnerable" pensioner has had his precious war medals stolen after callous thieves raided his Liverpool home.

Burglars struck after entering the house in Clubmoor.

Police today issued CCTV still of a man want to find as they believe he could help their probe into the break-in.

And today officers confirmed precious war medals were among possessions the burglars helped themselves to during the raid Between 4.20pm and 5.25pm on Saturday,March 16.

A television and cash were also stolen.

A Merseyside Police spokesman said: "We have issued CCTV images of a man we would like to speak to following a burglary at the house of a vulnerable pensioner in Clubmoor.

"Offenders entered a and stole a television, cash, and war medals. We believe the man pictured has information which could assist with our investigation."

Detective Inspector Judith Blease said: “Everybody has a right to feel safe in their own home and we recognise and understand the huge impact that burglaries have on our local communities."
