Manchester United fans were treated on their return to Old Trafford thanks to an absolute wonder strike from academy product Andreas Pereira against Brentford.
Anthony Elanga had given the Reds a 1-0 lead thanks to a lovely volley in the first half before Shandon Baptiste smashed one into the top corner to equalise just eight minutes later. The first half was a fairly entertaining affair, but the second half saw one of the best goals it's likely to see all season long.
A swift counter attack saw Jesse Lingard have an effort saved by Brentford goalkeeper David Raya, before the bouncing ball was headed to the edge of the box.
But instead of controlling the ball or restarting the attack, Pereira stepped up and volleyed the ball exquisitely into the top corner via the underside of the crossbar to send the fans in the stadium and at home absolutely wild.
The Brazil international has often been dubbed 'pre-season Pirlo' for his performances when the lights aren't shining the brightest during his time at Manchester United so far. Fans recalled that nickname and declared that he was back once again following his absolute worldie of a strike.
Pereira spent last season out on loan with Lazio in Serie A, making 33 appearances in all competitions but scoring just once. He has admitted he'd like a return to Italy next season, but a decision is yet to be made on his future.
