Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha will lead cabinet ministers on an official visit to Cambodia on Sept 7 to attend the third, informal joint cabinet meeting and boost bilateral relations.

It will be Prayut’s second official visit to Cambodia as a guest of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen. His first visit was on Oct 30, 2014.

The Foreign Ministry said the two leaders will co-chair the 3rd Thailand-Cambodia Joint Cabinet Retreat in Phnom Penh on the morning of Sept 7. They will hold talks on a wide array of bilateral issues - covering political and security, economic and social aspects.

Gen Prayut's emphasis will be on strengthening and enhancing cooperation in border development, labour, trade and investment, connectivity and regional and international framework, the department's statement said.
