Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha remained coy Tuesday about whether he would address voters in Nakhon Ratchasima on Sunday, saying discussions were ongoing to figure out what he can or cannot do under the election law.
"We need to examine all elements to figure out what can and can't be done," he said.
The premier said he understands many people are keenly anticipating this rally at the weekend to see if he breaks any rules so they can file charges against him.

"I need to consult with my legal advisers thoroughly about what I am permitted by law to do," said Gen Prayut. "Please sympathise with me. Don't crush me."
He said he must tread carefully. "I might have to adjust my methods or approaches [as a prime ministerial candidate]," he added.
Gen Prayut has been nominated by the Palang Pracharath Party (PPRP).
PPRP leader Uttama Savanayana indicated the party had laid out a plan for Gen Prayut to make his electoral debut in Nakhon Ratchasima and make an appearance at the final campaign rally shortly before the March 24 election in Bangkok.
The Election Commission (EC) clarified last week that Gen Prayut can meet party candidates and voters. However, he must refrain from using his position, or state resources, in a manner that could advantage or disadvantage any candidates or parties.
Gen Prayut conceded he may not have impressed all voters despite his achievements.
