Prayers said for young GAA and soccer player's full recovery after accident

The Sligo community came together last night to pray for a young GAA and football player, who was injured in an accident.

Teenager Dara Mostyn is in hospital after a serious accident on Tuesday.

Organised by the Geevagh community, a virtual gathering took place last night as people said their prayers for his full recovery.

A Geevagh GAA club underage player, Sligo GAA shared a message inviting people to the virtual gathering.

They said: "Sligo GAA are urging Club members to pray for Geevagh underage player Dara Moyston for his full recovery following an accident yesterday."

Mostyn is also a talented footballer, and currently plays for local club Valley Rovers but has also represented Sligo Rovers at under-13 level.

The League of Ireland club said: "We pray for Dara Moystyn. Dara, his family, his friends and his club mates at Valley Rovers FC are in our thoughts this evening. Keep fighting, Dara."
