PRAYAGRAJ: Cops in Civil Lines area of the city allegedly assaulted an eatery employee when he asked for payment of food served to them, on Monday. The incident came to light when a video of the incident went viral on social media and WhatsApp groups on Wednesday.
Circle Officer Civil Lines has started a probe into the incident following which further action will be taken against the cops concerned. In the viral video, the eatery employee is seen serving the cops sitting there. Few minutes later, the cop is seen assaulting the youth while dragging him towards the police vehicle parked outside
