Prankster sparks outrage after 'swapping Tesco labels on meat and veg lasagne'

A prankster has sparked outrage after bragging about switching labels on vegetarian and meat products in their local supermarket.

The unnamed person bragged about their actions in a Facebook post which was shared in a group on the site.

Alongside a picture of vegetable lasagne next to a meat product, the "joker" wrote: "Some mornings I like to pop into Tesco & switch the cardboard sleeves around on these just for fun."

But most people who saw it were far from impressed.

After it was shared on a group named Northern Ireland Craic, one stunned commenter wrote: "It's all fun and games until you accidentally kill someone who had an allergy."

Another wrote: "It's not funny and is incredibly immature and irresponsible.

"Anyone wanting to do this for "lols" needs a good kick up the a***."

And the page came under fire for sharing the image - which has the name of the prankster obscured.

One Facebook user wrote: "You posting this could give some simple minded a****** a stupid and careless idea that could cause someone to be hospitalized with a life threatening reaction."

A Tesco spokesperson told The Sun : “We are aware of this Facebook post and are monitoring the situation.”
