Pram pictured at scene of Great Western Road crash as police shut down street

A baby's pram has been pictured sitting on the road as police investigate a crash on Glasgow's Great Western Road this morning.

Police have not so far confirmed the nature of the collision and the usually busy road remains closed.

Police were called to the scene on the eastbound section of Great Western Road, between Knightscliffe Avenue and Anniesland Cross, at around 8.10am this morning.

A police spokesperson said: "Around 8.10am this morning, Thursday, 27 January, emergency services were called to a road crash on Great Western Road, Glasgow.

"Emergency services are at the scene and the road is currently closed."

Glasgow City Council's Traffic Control and Management team (TRAFFCOM) advised shortly before 9am this morning: "Due to an RTA, Great Western Road eastbound is closed between Knightscliffe Avenue and Anniesland Cross.

"The closure will remain until further notice."

Traffic entering the city has been impacted.
