Prakash Jha and Ratan Jain to make film on Sunanda Pushkar book - Exclusive

Venus Films and Prakash Jha have come together to make a film on the late businesswoman and Shashi Tharoor's wife Sunanda Pushkar. The film is based on a best seller titled Extraordinary Life and Death of Sunanda Pushkar written by Sunanda Mehta.

The film is produced by Ganesh Jain, Ratan Jain and Praveen Nischol. Confirming the news to ETimes, producer Ratan Jain said, "Venus and Prakash Jha have joined hands to make the 'Extraordinary Life and Death of Sunanda Pushkar', based on the best-seller book by her namesake Sunanda Mehta. Negotiations are on with the top stars to play the lead roles."

It was in January 2014 that Sunanda Pushkar was found dead in her hotel suite in Delhi. The book by author Sunanda Mehta came out in 2019, which chronicles her life and death. The public curiosity around the life and death of the 49-year-old celebrity entrepreneur continues to date.

It will be interesting to see how the film explores the life and controversial passing away of Sunanda. Watch this space for more updates.
