Praise for Brian's years of service

A West Lothian Aldi employee is celebrating 25 years with the company.

Brian McKeown, who works as a warehouse manager at Aldi’s Regional Distribution Centre in Bathgate, joined the supermarket back in 1996, two years after the supermarket opened its first Scottish store.

He started his training as deputy store manager of Aldi in Musselburgh before progressing to manage the Kirkcaldy store.

During this time, Brian was involved in training new staff for Aldi’s Perth store. He later became part of Aldi’s Warehouse Team and has been a warehouse section manager since 2004.

Speaking about his long service, Brian said: “It has been a privilege to work at Aldi for 25 years. I’ve loved working here and it’s the customers and my colleagues that have made my time working at Aldi so enjoyable.”

Richard Holloway, regional managing director at Aldi UK said: “Without the hard work and dedication of our store colleagues we wouldn’t be able to provide customers with the excellent and efficient service we’ve become known for.

“Colleagues like Brian are the cornerstone of our business and I thank him for his continued dedication throughout the last 25 years.

"Hopefully we will work together for many more years to come.”
