Practice squad candidates for Cardinals from recent cuts

The Arizona Cardinals can begin to sign players to their practice squad. That likely means several of the 28 players they cut on Saturday could be back with the team. These players help them have enough at different positions to run their scout team and it is a way to develop players a team feels is not quite ready for the active roster.

Of the players the Cardinals cut, who are those who could come back?

Based on how they did in training camp and the preseason, as well as how the current roster is constructed, these players are candidates to return:

  • CB Nate Brooks
  • CB Deatrick Nichols
  • TE Darrell Daniels
  • TE Caleb Wilson
  • QB Drew Anderson
  • OL Colby Gossett
  • S Jonathan Owens
  • S Tyler Sigler
  • DL Bruce Hector

This is only nine players, but they probably would not bring back 10 of their own players. They will certainly look at other players from around the league.
