Prachuap draw a big blow for Pathum

Pathum United's Teerasil Dangda, left, in action against Prachuap.

Hosts PT Prachuap derailed BG Pathum United's bid to resurrect their campaign for this year's Thai League 1 title yet again, holding the Rabbits to a 2-2 draw on Sunday night.

Samuel Rosa put Prachuap in the lead in the 17th minute before Worachit Kanitsribumphen equalised for Pathum seven minutes later.

Prachuap went ahead again through Lossemy Karaboue, but the Rabbits were quick to respond as veteran Thailand striker Teerasil Dangda pulled off another tie two minutes later.

Meanwhile, newcomers Lampang Warriors were defeated 1-0 at home last night by Sukhothai.

On Saturday night, Muang Thong United assistant coach Dagno Siaka felt "very disappointed" after the Kirins suffered a 5-1 hammering at the hands of Chonburi in front of their home crowd.

Muang Thong have given head coach Mario Gjurovski "three matches to prove himself or face the axe".

Chonburi had goals from Amadou Ouattara (32, 74 minutes), Channarong Promsrikaew (37), an own goal from Muang Thong's Lucas Rocha in the 72nd minute and Danilo Alves (90). Porramet Arjvilai netted the only goal for the Kirins in the 47th minute.

Dagno said: "We are very disappointed by the result as we conceded too many goals. We must forget about this game as soon as possible."

Also on Saturday night, Police Tero were routed 4-1 by Buriram United with Lonsana Doumbouya and Goran Causic scoring two goals each for the defending champions.
