Prabhas' performance and dialect coach Ashish Pathode: I can sense Rajinikanth's divinity in Prabhas - Exclusive!

Prabhas and Pooja Hegde starrer 'Radhe Shyam' is finally out for the audience after a long wait and several delays. Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, Prabhas is receiving praises and accolades from audiences across the nation for his performance in the film. The actor has all the reasons to celebrate. After turning into a pan India star post the humongous success of 'Baahubali', Prabhas dubbed for his last two films in the Hindi language. However, his recent release 'Radhe Shyam' has earned him praises across the industry for his dialect. "If you compare 'Saaho' with 'Radhe Shyam', one can see a huge improvement in Prabhas' dialect," says his performance and dialect coach, Ashish Pathode in an exclusive chat.

"I will not say training Prabhas was difficult, but it was also not easy. Since Prabhas and his films are pan India, one scene is shot in Hindi, while another scene is shot in Telugu and the same pattern was followed for 'Adipurush' and 'Radhe Shyam'. But if you compare 'Saaho' with 'Radhe Shyam', one can see a huge improvement in his dialect. His speech is clearer and has a style in it, which was not there in 'Saaho'. While talking about Prabhas' voice, it is a heavy base so the sound and the dialogue revolves within the cavity. So I made him practice some exercises and in 'Radhe Shyam', we can hear him clearly. His voice has a throw and we cannot say anywhere that there is no audibility in his voice and one cannot say that it is not Hindi. I will not say he has improved 100 percent as the Telugu language is his root, but there is a huge difference in his dialect and I am getting a positive response from the industry on that," shares an elated Ashish.

When asked about his association with Prabhas, he revealed, "After working for Om Raut's 'Tanhaji-The Unsung Warrior', I started working for his next 'Adipurush', and there I got associated with Prabhas. While doing other projects, I got connected with him. He liked my work and asked me to train him for his other projects like 'Project K', 'Salaar' and the recently released 'Radhe Shyam'. That's how we came together."

Prabhas is known for gifting his fans and treating people with good food and Ashish who is completely in awe of him, recently experienced it first hand. "He recently gifted me a 'Rado' watch as a token of appreciation. He is fond of food and he always treats everyone with love and warmth. Even Amitabh Bachchan has tweeted about Prabhas treating him with delicious food. Whenever I visit Hyderabad, I always receive food from him. He sends types of biryanis and will insist on trying them. In short, he is someone with a heart of gold. He is a Darling indeed," he says.

"Initially, while working with Prabhas I was a bit nervous as after all he is the one whose film 'Baahubali' took our Indian film industry across the world. So somewhere I was inhibited on how to make him feel comfortable or how to deal with him. But as we started working, I realised that he is extremely down to earth and he does not need any special treatment. He is easy-going and friendly. I have seen his fans and craze for him. Sometimes I am taken aback thinking that I am working with someone who has a huge fan following worldwide. I can sense Rajinikanth's divinity in Prabhas. But when he works, he will never make you feel that thing and will be on a human level. He is just like an obedient student and will imbibe the inputs that are being given to him," Ashish smiles and signs off.
