Powerful image shows King's Mill Hospital staff on frontline of coronavirus fight

This powerful picture shows NHS staff during a busy shift on the frontline in the fight against coronavirus.

It was tweeted earlier this week by critical care matron Christian Brailsford, who works for the Sherwood Forest Hospitals Trust.

He wrote: "1st night shift for all these amazing people pushing themselves so far out of their comfort zones in order to help provide the best quality care for our sickest patients @sfhcriticalcare @SFHFT."

The picture was taken of staff at the King's Mill Hospital and the tweet was met with widespread support online.

"What a team," one tweet posted in reply read.

"In awe of the commitment of colleagues - thank you so much," another read.

"Well done and thank you everyone you are all amazing," added a third.

A total of 23 patients diagnosed with coronavirus being treated by the Trust have now died.

The Trust also runs Newark Hospital and Mansfield Community Hospital.

The country again paid tribute to frontline care workers on Thursday, March 2, as part of the Clap for Carers campaign.
