A powerful 6.7-magnitude earthquake rippled through eastern Turkey on Friday, toppling buildings and killing at least four people, authorities said.
The deadly temblor struck Friday night near the East Anatolian Fault, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
Turkey's interior minister confirmed the four deaths, according to The Associated Press.
The jolt followed a 5.4-magnitude quake in western Turkey on Wednesday.
Turkey sits near the crossroads of the converging Arabian and Eurasian plates.
