  • Kentucky Powerball winner James Farthing was arrested for the fourth time since claiming his record-breaking jackpot, this time on domestic violence charges.
  • Farthing, 51, faces charges of first-degree strangulation and fourth-degree assault after allegedly restricting a woman's breathing following an argument.
  • He pleaded not guilty, with a judge setting his bond at $15,000 and ordering no contact with the alleged victim, alongside electronic monitoring.
  • Since winning the $167.3 million prize in April 2025, Farthing has also been arrested for assaulting a sheriff's deputy, intimidation, and burglary.
  • Farthing has a criminal record dating back to 1994, including charges for burglary, drug offences, and escaping from a detention facility.
