Power restored to five Canberra suburbs

Power has been restored to five Canberra suburbs, provider Evo Energy has confirmed.

Houses and businesses in Dickson - including Dickson centre - Ainslie, Lyneham, Downer and Narrabundah were without electricity for about an hour from about midday Wednesday.

Power was restored by 1.15pm.
