POWER outages have been reported across Cooks Hill, Hamilton and Hamilton South on Wednesday morning.
Parts of Merewether, Newcastle and The Junction are also impacted by the blackout.
More than 1000 homes and business have been hit.
Ausgrid crews expect to have power restored by 10am. No information has been released about the cause of the blackout.
The outages follow significant blackouts in Aberglasslyn, Hillsborough, Maitland Vale and surrounding suburbs on Tuesday, on what was the hottest recorded night this summer.
