Power lines damaged after single-vehicle collision involving Peugeot in Pucklechurch

Avon and Somerset Police have confirmed that power lines have been damaged on Westerleigh Road, Pucklechurch, South Gloucestershire, after a single-vehicle collision during the early hours of this morning (January 14).

It's thought that the people in the car fled from the scene when they crashed the car.

None of the people suffered any life changing or major injuries.

Crash in Pucklechurch left school without power

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: "A power line has been damaged in a single-vehicle collision in Westerleigh Road, Pucklechurch.

"Police were called just after 2.30am on Tuesday 14 January by residents reporting that a Peugeot 206 had crashed.

"No one was with the vehicle when they arrived, but officers found three people nearby.

"Ambulance crews checked them over but no one went to hospital.

"Officers had resumed their patrols by about 4am.

"South Gloucestershire Council has closed the road for Western Power Distribution to carry out repairs.

"The closures, at St Aldoms Nursery, Parkfield Road and Castle Road, are expected to be in place until at least midday."
