Power cut leaves hundreds of homes without electricity in Bury

Hundreds of homes and businesses in Whitefield have been left without electricity following a power cut this afternoon.

Electricity North West says 616 homes and businesses have been affected by the power cut, which was first reported at around 2.30pm today (July 30).

The firm says the power cut has been caused by an 'unexpected incident on our high voltage cable' which provides electricity to several properties in the M45 area.
