A power cut is affecting about 2,000 properties in Wilmslow.
Electricity North West said engineers are currently working to restore power.
The postcodes affected include SK9, M22 and M4.
Electricity North West tweeted this morning: "Hello everyone, We're really sorry.
"We have a power cut affecting around 2000 properties in the #Wilmslow #SK9.
"We're on our way to site now to try and restore properties.
"If anyone needs any support please call us on 105."
Its website read: "The power cut in your area has been caused by an unexpected incident on our high voltage cable which provides electricity to your property."
According to the website engineers hope to restore power by about 11am.
