A power cut forced bosses to close a busy M4 services in both directions this afternoon (Wednesday).
Drivers were left bewildered after Leigh Delamere Moto services, located between junction 17 and 18, was shut for around one hour.
The eastbound customer service manager told our sister paper Somerset Live that they closed between 2pm to 3pm.
Services on this side of the motorway have now re-opened, with bosses using a generator for power.
The westbound stop-break was closed for several more hours but is now open to customers.
Motorists have been advised that alternative services are Severn View between J21 (Chepstow) and J22 (Avonmouth) or Membury between J14 (Hungerford) and J15 (Swindon East).
