A huge power cut is affecting around 2,500 properties in Stockport.
Engineers are currently on their way to fix the problem, Electricity North West said in a tweet.
The power cut is affecting homes and businesses with an SK4 postcode.
The full tweet, put up at 9.30am today (Wednesday) said: "We are aware of a power cut in SK4, Stockport, affecting 2,500 properties.
"We have a team currently on their way to the area now. We will provide a further update asap."
It appears to also be affec
ting residents with an SK5 postcode, according to posts on social media.
In a response to the tweet by Electricity North West, one social media user wrote: "Appreciate your quick update.
"I'm SK5, no power here either."
