A Poundland store had to be shut immediately when a staff member tested positive for the coronavirus.
The Union Street, Glasgow budget store underwent a deep clean after the outbreak.
Four other Poundland employees have also been made to self-isolate after coming into contact with the affected security guard, the Daily Record reported.
The shop reopened on Thursday, September 3 following the cleanse.
It is now operating as normal.
A spokesman for the firm said: "Last Wednesday we were informed through track and trace that a security guard at our Union Street store in Glasgow received a positive Covid result.
"He hadn’t been at work since August 29, but the store immediately closed for a short period, was deep cleaned.
"In line with our protocols and government guidelines, four colleagues who had been advised they’d been in direct sustained contact with the guard self-isolated.
"The store re-opened last Thursday and is trading normally.
"No other members of the team there have had tests returning a positive result.
"We obviously wish our security contractor from Union Street well."
Over the past 24 hours 208 more people have tested positive for coronavirus in Scotland.
The Scottish Government confirmed that the total number of confirmed cases now sits at 21,397 since the start of the outbreak.
In total 245 are currently being treated in hospital for the bug while four are in intensive care.
In Glasgow there were 92 new cases recorded in the last day.
