Poundland shopper spends £346 before being handed 'longest receipt ever'

A Poundland shopper managed to spend £346 in a single trip - and the store has never printed a receipt so long.

YouTube star Liyana Lifestyle spent hundreds on homeware and Christmas decorations at the budget retailer - which is headquartered near Birmingham.

In her latest vlog, Liyana explained: "OK... It just goes on and on. £346 spent."

"So, we're about to go into Poundland and spend a lot," she says as the start of the trip.

"We're already having trouble filling our baskets. I asked if they have trolleys but they don't."

She added: “I’m actually gonna be really embarrassed checking out because we’re gonna be holding everyone up.

“We’ve been here an hour and a half now I think, they’ve been there beeping our stuff for the longest time.”

She added: "We just need to wait..."

She then shows till staff scanning each of the items in her haul, before hilariously asking: "How are we going to get this to the car? I don't know."

The staff helped her out by grabbing a bag as she left, but not before taking a quick snap of the reeling receipt, Birmingham Live reports.

"How good were the staff?" she asked, adding: "They were so good. They were so nice."

In the shopping bags were mugs, baskets and lots of homeware items. They were also stuffed with seasonal products for Christmas, and Halloween.

She bought a plant pot for £3 and a jug for £1.50 before taking the entire Halloween range to the till.

The popular festive Gonks were bought as were Christmas tree shaped candles and seasonal crockery.

She continued: “This was the longest receipt that Poundland has ever printed, it just goes on and on - £346 spent.”
