Poundland, power and prizes are all costly

I am 95 years old and have voted Labour all my life. If Angela Eagle succeeds in ousting Jeremy Corbyn, I and thousands more will never vote for the party again.

• You might have thought Poundland would be bought for £1, but no, it cost £597m (Report, 14 July), while BHS, with its £571m pension deficit, went for £1.
