Poundland is now selling Halloween invisibility cloaks for 'free'

Six Poundland stores are offering people the chance to get hold of an invisibility cloak to help you in your tick or treat endeavours.

Appearing - if that's the right word - in stores this week as part of the chain's Halloween range, the store has listed them with a price of "free".

Poundland trading director Tim Bettley said: “We intended to trial this item last year, but couldn’t find it in the distribution centre.

“But now we’ve found it, we think our customers will see the value, if not the cloak.”

It's also a case of one-size fits all, so no one misses out - although there's only one (lack of) colour.

They'll go with any outfit (Poundland)

The new offering is part of Poundland’s largest ever Halloween range, with more than 270 products available in all stores across the country and prices starting at £1.

The cloaks will be on sale at:

  • London Stratford High Street
  • Salford City
  • Bristol Galleries
  • Byker Retail Park (Newcastle)
  • Leeds Lands Lane
  • Birmingham Corporation Street

Aside from the cloaks there are Skull Tealight Holders, Trick or Treat Loot Bags, Pumpkin Candy Buckets and Halloween, er, Rubber Ducks.

There are also See, Speak, Hear No Evil Skulls, Halloween signs and a big range of make-up and face paints.

Oh, and the invisibility cloak isn't the only nod to the Potterverse, with wands and clear-lensed glasses for people seeking to emulate their favourite boy wizard.
